We Will Not Stand By: Voices of Action

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month - a time to elevate young voices, deepen awareness, and move from concern to action. Join JCADA and the OneLove Foundation for a meaningful conversation with Julie Myers, CEO of One Love Foundation, and Michael Harley, One Love's Director of Partner Success. One Love was founded in response to the tragic murder of Yeardley Love, and their work represents what it looks like to transform loss into action - by equipping young people, families, and communities with the tools to recognize unhealthy relationships dynamics before harm escalates.

Rooted in the Jewish ethical mandate Lo Ta’amod Al Dam Rei’echa (“Do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor”), this program affirms that silence is not neutral. Preventing abuse requires both moral courage and concrete skills - and it starts with honest, age-appropriate conversations. As part of the We Will Not Stand By series, this session invites families to learn side-by-side, strengthening communication, awareness, and shared responsibility for creating relationships grounded in respect, safety, and care.
