Description

Join Friends of JCADA to recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and learn from Rabbi Megdal of Congregation Beth El and Rabbi Antine of Beth Shalom Congregation who will teach us how the Torah addresses sexual violence and what we can learn about supporting survivors. Rabbi Megdal and Rabbi Antine will use Jewish text and values to ground the discussion.

While JCADA’s work focuses on survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault is often one of the ways abusers use to control their partners. Therefore, JCADA is using SAAM and Teal Shabbat as opportunities to shine a light on the darkness of intimate partner violence and to show victims that they are not alone. JCADA is here to help!  Please join us for this unique opportunity to hear a Rabbinic perspective on sexual violence and embracing survivors.
